Good evening ladies and gentlemen, dear friends and colleagues. Welcome to the 15th Thursday webinar of the Professional Voice Society. We are very pleased to have you with us this evening.

Tonight, we are honored to host a distinguished guest, a close friend of mine and a highly respected professor in the phonetics community both in Europe and worldwide: Professor Tamar Abu Assad from Mansoura University Faculty of Medicine. He is a professor of phonetics, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and a board member of the Union of European Phoniatrics.

It is a great pleasure to welcome Professor Abu Assad. Thank you very much for joining us today. He has prepared an excellent presentation, and we will spend about an hour together. Thank you, my dear friend Haldun. First of all, I would like to thank you for your kind invitation. It is a great honor to be here with you today. My presentation will focus on adult oropharyngeal dysphagia.

Briefly, I am from Egypt, specifically from Mansoura, which is located about two hours north of Cairo.
